Scottish Power almost doubles wind power output in 2009
ScottishPower Renewables increased wind output by 43.8 percent last year. The firm reports it produced some 1.7 million megawatt hours from its 23 operational windfarms during 2009.


REpower sells 26 turbines to French RES subsidiary
Germany’s REpower has sold 26 of its MM92 turbines to French renewables developer EOLE-RES, a subsidiary of RES Méditerranée, as it continues digging its toes into the steadily growing French wind market.

This leading Engineering consultancy are looking to recruit a senior Project Developer that can demonstrate a sound background from R1/R2 and can demonstrate an End to End approach/delivery for UK Offshore Wind Projects.
There is a clear strategy in place with a sound pipeline of Projects.
The role would suit someone who would relish the opportunity to bring your experiences to an established organisation but who are now focussing on the Offshore Wind sector. You will be an expert in your field, a true team player and have the ambition to grow a business Unit.
The organisation are steeped in history from the Oil and Gas/ Energy background and inevitably they worked on R1/R2 Offshore Wind projects. This is a greenfield opportunity where you will be at the Front End of the growth of this department/ business unit.
Requirements -
Experience of full Development of UK Offshore Wind.
Strong Commercial Acumen.
Strong management, presentation and mentoring skills.
